Tickets and Sponsorships are now on sale on Eventbrite.com!

What is Shellabration? Greenport Shellabration is a restaurant walk which features the best in local shellfish, wine, and beer! For two days, wristbands will grant participants access to enjoy the very best culinary creations of Greenport’s leading chefs. $5 small plates featuring LOCAL shellfish will be paired with $3 pours of LOCAL wine or beer. Wristbands will also get participants discounts and promotions at participating merchants throughout Greenport Village (see Shopping section).

Where is it held? Shellabration takes place in the Village of Greenport. Online sales for our 2019 Shellabration are on sale on Eventbrite.com.

How does it work? Your wristband entitles you to the first tasting of the day–a free glass of Greenport Harbor Ale and a SPAT sponsored raw bar tasting of clams and oysters at the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company (234 Carpenter St.) or at Little Creek Oyster Company (37 Front St.). Here you will receive your tour map pinpointing the participating restaurants.

Why should I participate? Not only will you get to enjoy pairings from your favorite restaurants in Greenport and local vineyards and breweries, but the proceeds from the sales of wristbands will directly support the following efforts of Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Marine Program- the Back to the Bays Initiative and the Suffolk Project in Aquaculture Training (SPAT).

SPAT Program: The SPAT program was created to encourage community members to become stewards of their environment and to restore shellfish to the bays. To augment the limited staff of the Cornell Marine Program, volunteers help produce shellfish to seed the bays. SPAT volunteers grow miniscule shellfish in containment, away from predators, until they reach an adult size when they release their spawn into local creeks and bays and promote wild settlement.- See more at:  http://ccesuffolk.org/marine/aquaculture/spat-program
